Disadvantages Of Reverse Osmosis Water Filters

You’ve probably heard it a hundred times, reverse osmosis water filters; such has been the trend in protecting what we drink the past 30 years. Unfortunately, these systems simply cannot live up to their hype for a number of reasons, as you will see below.

The original purpose for these filtration systems was for commercial and industrial use. Demineralization is necessary for machinery and other utilities, since scaling and corrosion might occur otherwise. Trouble is, we are not robots. In this case, “What is good for the goose is not good for the gander”! In short, reverse osmosis water filters can remove what we need, as well as fail to keep out what can harm us.
